Installing a WordPress Theme

After you’ve logged into WordPress backend, and looked around to get familiar with the dashboard you can start by choosing a theme to go with your blog.

If you are a new blogger free theme might be the way to go. It’s a good starting point. InWordPress admin, go to “Appearance” on the left-hand side navigation menu and click “Themes”. There you can explore and test a bunch of free themes.
Try browsing through “Featured” or through “Popular” or “Latest” themes.

WordPress has so many different options of themes that this will probably take you a while to decide which theme would go perfectly with your blog. If you’re a bit indecisive like me, choosing and deciding on a theme can take up to a few days! But that’s the beauty of WordPress, you have so many options to go with, you can always change it up to your liking.

Commercial themes are in some cases more customizable, easy to use for people who have little or no design skills. They allow you to create a professional and unique looking blog without needing to code or use Photoshop.

You can change almost anything including columns, sidebars, fonts, font sizes, colors, header and many other design elements through a simple browser interface.

Premium themes are also constantly developed, upgraded to the latest standards and have the full customer support for when you have some questions or need some help. The design of these themes are of the highest-quality (besides completely custom).

Premium themes contain advanced features like Shortcodes and page templates with different colors that allow a user to have full control over their site and it’s pages can be manipulated according to the need.
